We were lucky with multiple Common Loon sightings this spring. Majority of the sightings were at a very far distance. After days of waiting, we did find couple opportunities to get relatively close for photographing this wonderful bird till we witnessed the moment that it flew away migrating back to the north. I was especially happy to get shots of it came up from the water with fish that I had not seen before.
