It is a mid-sized American song bird in the Cardinal family. This long-distance migrant travels twice a year across the Gulf of Mexico between the breeding grounds in eastern North America and the wintering grounds in South America. Length: 16-19 cm Wingspan: 25-30 cm Lifespan: 12 years
