White-winged Scoter – Windsor Ontario

This sea duck is the largest among the three scoters in North America. It breeds over the far north of North America. It winters further south in temperate zones, on the Great Lakes, the coasts of the northern United States and the southern coasts of Canada. Length: 48-58 cm Wingspan: 80 cm Lifespan: up to 18 years
