Yellow-bellied Sapsucker – Windsor Ontario

It breeds in eastern Alaska, Canada, and south to the Appalachians. This is the only North American woodpecker that is completely migratory. It has the habit of drilling holes in trees to drink sap. Length: 20-23 cm Wingspan: 41-46 cm Lifespan: up to 7 years
