Yesterday I got a call from a birding pal, who told me to grab my macro gears for a good macro subject. When I got to his place, he had it all under control with the Tomato Hornworm eating away on a potted plant. I have never seen this species before. It has to be the biggest caterpillar that I have even seen with more than 3 inches in length.
