Golden-crowned Kinglet – Windsor Ontario

April 14, 2022 By Stan Lee

Kinglet is one of my favorite birds to photograph in the early spring The Golden-crowned species shows up earlier than the Ruby-crowned ones. These Golden-crowned Kinglets are only 8-11cm (3.25-4.25in) in length. They weight 4-8gm(5/32-9/32oz) and can fly at 48KPH (30MPH). It is always fun and challenging to photograph as they are tiny and never stop moving.
