Indigo Bunting – Windsor Ontario

May 31, 2022 By Stan Lee

The indigo bunting is one of the more brilliantly colored song birds in North America. The bird’s color is really not indigo, but rather a vibrant, almost cyan-blue with various shades over its body. The color only turns to indigo on the male’s head before finally becoming a rich violet on the face. It is also a very adaptable species.
