Andean Gull – Ecuador

November 23, 2022 By Stan Lee

The Andean Gull looks a lot like the Bonaparte’s Gull in our region, except, it is a lot larger. It is almost (slightly smaller) the size of the Ring-billed Gull. It is found in the Andes in mountainous regions of South America and  It is unusual for a gull in that it breeds inland in mountain areas. Length: 45-48cm (approx. 18 inches)
