Red-capped Cardinal – Ecuador

Despite its name, it is not actually a cardinal, but is instead classified in the group called tanagers. It is a South America species that can be found in vegetation around lakes and rivers from Venezuela thru Brazil. Length: 16.5 cm (6.5 in)
