It can be found in South America throughout the Amazon Basin including the adjacent Tocantins and Araguaia River drainage. Length: 50–61 cm (19.5–24 in)
While I was capturing other static birds on a river boat, this toucan flew out of nowhere and caught me by surprise. I was not prepared to take a in flight shot as my shutter speed was on 1/640 second.
