White-lined Tanager (female) – Ecuador

This large tanager is one of those species that the male and female have completely different plumages. The male is totally black with a white shoulder patch and the female is uniformly rufous with no distinguishing features. It can be found from Costa Rica south to northern Argentina in South America. Length: 18.5 cm (7.3 in)
