Common Potoo – Ecuador

March 1, 2023 By Stan Lee

This nocturnal bird hunts for flying insects at night time. At daytime, it perches on stumps that are similar in diameter to their own bodies, so that they can better mimic the perch. It can be found in every mainland South American country except Chile. Length: 34–38 cm (13–15 in)
