Purple-throated Woodstar – Ecuador

This tiny hummingbird looks and flies more like a bumblebee. The matured male has a brilliant purple colored throat when shinning under direction sunlight at a right angle. It can only be found in the west slope of the Andes in Colombia and Ecuador. Length: 6.8-7.5 cm (2.7-3.0 in)
