Eastern Kingbird in flight – Amherstburg, Ontario

August 18, 2021 By Stan Lee

Photographing the Eastern Kingbird in flight is almost as challenging as with the Purple Martin. They are both about the same size. Like the Purple Martin, it flies about the same speed and with no particular pattern. These five consecutive shots of the Eastern Kingbird was captured when it hoovered in front of me for a second or so while I was waiting for my target bird to appear.
