Praying Mantis snacking – LaSalle Ontario

September 26, 2021 By Stan Lee

For hours, this Praying Mantis stayed on a plant in our garden just under our hummingbird feeder where many Yellowjacket Wasps were hoovering around for the sugar water. Once a while the Wasps land on the plants under the feeder. When a Wasp came close, it caught the Wasp in a very fast snapping action with its saw like front legs. Then it just snacked on the Wasp while it was still alive.
