Northern Flicker – Windsor Ontario

A medium-sized woodpecker that is native to most of North America. It is the only North American woodpecker that is a ground forager. It is a common species found in every part of USA, the southern half of Canada and north into Alaska. Length: 31-33 cm Wingspan: 48-53 cm Lifespan: 9 years.
