Harris’s Hawk catching food in midair – Canadian Raptor Conservancy Ontario

Every time I visit the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, I try to get some new perspective to photograph the raptors. On my last visit with the Windsor Camera Club colleagues couple days ago, the host tried something new by throwing up the food high up on the air and the Harris’s Hawk to shoot up like a rocket and to catch the food in the midair. Here is a sequence of 8 consecutive shots of the action.

    What a awesome series of images.Very nice colors,details and lighting against the blue sky.

    These shots shows how agile and quick these birds are.
