Herring Gull and Ring-billed Gull feeding actions – Windsor Ontario

January 18, 2022 By Stan Lee

Gulls are extremely common in our area. There are not many people care to photograph them. However, I enjoy shooting the actions during their feeding time on a sunny winter day. Here is the first post for this season. More posts will follow.

    Hi Stan:
    Impressive series and action shots.
Nice to see other photographers take a crack at shooting them.
I’ve been using them lately to practice eye detection with the camera.
You really don’t know what kind of action images you really get with the
flying ones, but it is a lot of fun.

    Larry.

Thanks so much, Larry. Yes, it is always fun shooting the birds in actions. You have the new gears that tracks the birds’ eyes automatically for you is a really bonus. However, for me I am still tracking the birds manually with the older gears. I really enjoy doing that as it keeps exercising my eye hand coordination.
