Gray Jay – Algonquin Park Ontario

The national bird of Canada and is also known as Canada Jay.

A very inquisitive bird, it can be found in coniferous forests across northern North America from Alaska to Newfoundland, the Maritimes, and north New York and New England. It is particularly adept to stealing food, which earned it a nick name of “Camp Robber”. Length: 25-29 cm Wingspan: 46 cm Lifespan: up to 10 years
